Until January 7, 2018, the Legacies of Confedera- tion: A New Look at Manitoba History exhibit features iconic artifacts and specimens relaying the effects of Con- federation on the Red River people and the land that would become Manitoba. From September 27 to October 15, two exhibits, Eyes on the Arctic and Northern Stars, focus on historical and modern stories of Indigenous groups, revealing their adaptability, the global sig- nificance of the region, and the important cultural connections and institutional ties between the U.S. and Canada. From October 28 to November 5, Journey of a Lifetime explores the seminal role the railway colonist sleeper car played in opening our country to settlement.
